I have a Hotpoint WNT03 that keeps cooking / shrinking clothes,i suspect a thermostat fault, ( maybe fured up,it gets LOTSof use, we have 3 kids !)

Does anyone have any ideas of anything else it could be before i start to take the damn thing to pieces?

    Many thanks

Another thought on the aformentioned machine, is there a non invasive cure for a fured up thermostat that will not involve me ripping the guts out of the machine, some sort of ” de-furing ” additive maybe ?

Unlikely to be furring up, Andy. If there were a fault in the temperature control circuitry, the computer should fault and abort the wash. The place to start is with the fill hoses – are they connected the correct round? Select rinse and spin and check that the machine fills with cold water, not hot.
