Washing Machine Module changed March 05 £160 repair bill. Seem to be getting same symptoms now, won’t fill completely, won’t run programmes, won’t spin. Will empty and can get wet (& dirty) clothes out once lock light goes out. When switched on starts to fill but stops once powder has swilled out of dispenser drawer. Drum then does not go round or spin. We have to turn switch to appropriate programme number to activate limited operation. Any ideas what we can do to try to diagnose please?

Sounds like motor from your description. Check brushes, connectors etc.
Power off if you are going to do this yourself.

Many thanks – will check carefully – if it turns out to need replacement motor any idea on price, or can individual components (brushes etc) be replaced?

Throughout the product of that model no less than 7 different motors were fitted. All vary in price as a complete unit and all have differing replaceable brushes 😕

If you can advise us on the part you require that would be best 💡

Beyond that I would recommend getting an independent local expert in to look at it for you. Check this link for one in your area :Repairs@

Thw whole motor is around £120 😯

Hopefully though it’s just the brushes, you’ll need to let us know the make of the motor to identify them as Indesit used a few on this model.
