I have a Stoves 700DFD0a freestanding dual fuel double oven cooker – model No: 059056804 which is about 3 years old.
It was fitted new into our kitchen has been working fine, but in the last few months we have noticed that the ovens are still warm even when we haven’t used them.
An example would be – nothing is switched on, or due to come on with the timer, and when we come down in the morning one of the ovens has clearly been on, all be it at a very low heat.I stood and watched it the other day and even though the control dials are at zero, the red active light came on and the oven started up – all on its own. Both ovens have experienced this.
When we go away now we switch the power off at the mains.
Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

Is this a fan oven? If so did the fan start up as well or was it just the thermostat light? It may be the thermostat faulty, sometimes they dont quite switch off.. If the whole oven including fan comes on then it is something more serious.

The fans do not come on with this fault.
But they do work correctly – ie: when we switch on the oven the correct way.
The fault occurs on both ovens at random times of the day/night and only with very low heats.Does that help with the diagnosis ?
