Since one of our recent summer storms our cooker has gone on the blink.
The LED readout on the panel simply says STOP. At least this proves there is power to the unit but there is no power to the cooker itself.
Pressing the button in the middle of the panel below the STOP message is having no effect.
Possibilities are a faulty controls unit or a faulty capricorn board. Power off before checking or doing anything. Try unplugging the front controls from the capricorn board and plugging them back in. If that doesn’t work then one or both have gone faulty.
Have a look at the centre button. Can you feel a click when you press it?
If not then the switch is probably faulty and you cant get the cooker to power up without it.
It is easy to test the switch with a meter.
To get you going you can access the switch behind the button by prising out the centre of the button and pressing the small red switch behind it.
The easiest way I find to get the middle out is to carefully drill a small hole in it first
POWER OFF OF COURSE :zap:
thanks for your assistance , I have got the unit working. it transpired the fault was linked to the operation of the central button/ switch.
thanks Nick1
