My Whirlpool ADG6340 has developed a fault. I start the machine off set to 50 degrees and all seems well, however after about 5 minutes or so the machine starts to stop / start / stop / start. On inspection of the machine it appears that the pale grey coloured flat pipe (2 round pipes joined together) which runs down the back of the machine and then along the bottom of the machine is blowing out of the floor of the machine directly behind the bottom spray arm. If pushed back into place it may then work, alternatively it may just blow out of the floor of the machine again. In fact it now just blows out of the floor and the machine won’t work. 🙁
Any help / ideas would be much appreciated. (a bottle of glue seems a tempting repair).
It is two pipes as it feeds the water to the two upper spray arms but why it’s blowing out is a bit odd.
There should be something securing it in place but the diagram isn’t clear what. Further investigation required I think, try removing the panel that it pushes in to (behind the filter?) and have a look under there.
I removed the panel that the pipes fit into. Basically there’s 2 sockets that the pipes fit into with built in plastic clips that engage with the pipes. These clips had broken hence the pipe wasn’t held in.
Panel replaced, now working as new.
