Participanttested out on wash prog (11) wool for quick wash, m/c advanced to heat, clicked off after heat, then fast advanced to the end, not the spanner. it missed final softener rinse, drain, and spin. it shut down with water still in. paul G suggested to check the cold water valves. tested out all working with resistance readings. still at a loss. any body out there with ideas..
Ta TELL.
p.s. this fault is an intermittant one may go for a few washes then starts acting up again.September 7, 2005 at 11:04 pm #146908leavemetogetonwithit

Am not very familiar with this machine but with this sort of problem I tend to use the “process of elimination”.
You know approximately what resistance readings to expect on valves, pump, heater, motor. Double check them all and check that all connections to them are firmly made. Stats are either n/o or n/c or several thousand ohms (often 30K) in the case of thermistors. Look to see if connections are firm again. Check all connectors to timer /electronic board, looking inside connectors with magnifying specs for flattened out connectors which could be causing intermittent non-contact.
The above can take some time but when you do it systematically it takes only minutes. The most time consuming is often getting connectors off.
If you’ve still found nothing, get all numbers off timer /boards etc. as well as machine model/serial no.s
Give Tony at EMW a ring and ask him if he’s heard of similar problems with these timers. He may well have done.(01159)652118
If that fails try ringing QER.0800-2798912
Whether or not you get to the bottom of this, the experience will do you no harm.September 8, 2005 at 9:10 am #146909admin

hi,
Step 50 is fill and heat to 35 degrees, if your timer advances off heat before 35 degrees you have an NTC problem or a level switch problem, the modules on these are expensive and there are two different ones, the exact model number from the rear of the appliance will be needed.
Step 51 is fill and wash with step 52 being a drain.Timers are driven by the module and advancing to finish is the module timing out on a fault condition.
Hope that helps.

Perhaps also have a look at the motor had a problem like that. Was a bit puzzled so taking it back to the workshop noticed the armature as I put the machine in the van. Sometimes you get lucky
