ParticipantHi wonder if you can assist
My neighbour has an 051 had a blown FET in control board due to water ingress. Fixed and replaced the FET all worked just fine. Today replaced the OOB Microswitch, noticed it was corroded when I repaired the Control Board. After doing this and reassembling turn Power on all Led’s go through countdown sequence after 10seconds the final rinse led lights and beeps. If I turn off at wall then on without powering on at machine after 10 sec same thing happens? Am at a loss, am doing this as a favour as the owners are pensioners without the money to replace the machine. Can anybody assist with this. Tried a re-set by holding Start/Pause Then Power ON. Also can’t access fault codes as once the LED lights can’t go any further. Guess the code is 00000100? Many thanks, Graeme

It sounds to me like you have more problems in the controller. That fault code says there is a communication error between the motor controller and the display module. Replace with a rebuilt motor controller 🙁 from a local parts supplier (cheaper than an F+P board)

Thanks so much for the reply. Thought I’d try once more, took out the controller board (I had first time sleeved) the water tunnel because the aluminium had corroded. In refitting and replacing the clamps that hold the FETS the movement had caused a dry joint on one of the gate legs. I’m a broadcast engineer and respect horses for courses you guys in the whitegoods repair area deserve medals, you cover a bit of everything including being a diplomat to the general public…congratulations.
Many thanks, Graeme.
Just for my edification, what does a fault binary of 00100000 refer to, this came up in the early days.

This code relates to a pump circuit fault, but in the earlier version of smart drive.
Congratulations to you on repairing the board, dry joints and basic component replacement is about the extent of my electronic ability.too many little pieces 😯 -
