The door is jammed on our ADP 8234 dishwasher – having read through similar cases on this site is the best answer to use brute force to prise open and then buy a new door lock? Any help to solve/parts/prices etc would be much appreciated – is this something that can be done easily as it’s integrated etc
Dave should be able to get you that if he’s not got a lock. From memory they’re not too badly priced either.

Door lock is part number 697690139 and the fascia is 993736190.
Try pulling the door open from the sides at the top if you’re going for a go yourself, otherwise try Repairs@

Thanks for your help – I replaced the switch but now have an E4 message – thermostat? What sort of cost am I looking at to replace it and is it a DIY job?

There’s a stat inside the door next to the dispenser. This has probably been shaken loose when the door was forced.
I would recommend calling in a pro from Repairs@ if you’re not sure how to safely go about handling this.
If you’re going for a go yourself then power off please :zap: and watch out for the door skin; it’s razor sharp once it gets opened up and loss of blood is all but guarranteed for the unwary.
