I have an aeg fan ovencompetence 5310 that came with the housegradually over the last couple of months the fan has been running on longer and longer after the oven has been turned off.It now reached stage where it never goes off and even unplugging at mains only results in fan comming straight back on when mains is switched back on.Any ideas what the matter is?

Hi Kev,
A lot of the better ovens, especially double ovens have secondry fan units in them that have nothing to do with the cooking process.
They are there to keep the control gear cool and they can continue to run for a considerable period of time after you have finnished cooking.
Just double check to see that it is not the fan blades at the rear of the oven cavity that are turning.
If the fan at the back of the oven is not turning and you still hear a fan motor running it is probably the cooling fan.
Even the cooling fan should normally switch off after about an hour at most so if yours continues to run it may very well be that its associated stat is faulty.
