Recent local press, radio and TV stations have aired the ingenuity of Alex Gadsden’s very own GREEN MACHINE

Alex from Peterfield in Hampshire based his invention on a Hotpoint Washing Machine reclaimed from a local tip. Converted it in such a way as it is a fully functional machine that washes, rinses and spins, purely using PEDAL POWER. 🙂

He is currently looking for sponsors to enable more such machines to be reclaimed, converted and put into action ready for shipping to Third World Countries and those wanting to take full advantage of a very eco-friendly form of washing that keeps you fit at the same time 😉

His demonstration (Taken at a festival this summer in Somerset) was an overwhelming crowd pleaser where loads of washing was done AND he lost almost one stone in the process 😆

The full story will be shown on the homepage in due course, but for now, here is a sneak preview……

All enquiries, please email me. thanks!

    Re: Pedal Power

    😆

Very good, I wonder how fast he can get the drum going for the ‘final spin’.

It looks like a mountain bike with gears, so it should be able to get a fair speed going.

It would be a shame if after all that economical washing, he just put all the clothes in a dryer for 2 hours. 😆

    Re: Pedal Power

Does this mean engineers need to carry puncture repair kits and bike chains now?

BTW, that guy has the worse hemeroids I’ve ever seen. 😯

He shouldn’t be on a bike saddle. 😕

    Re: Pedal Power

I’d been thinking of building one of those for years. Now that guy’s beaten me to it.Not ideal for the smaller kitchen, though.
Excellent way of re-using old goldfish tanks.
