    can anyone tell me what code 06 is on a brandt w/m i guess motor carbons as they said it dont spin but drains fine.

    Almost certainly brushes, I think the error code refers to no tacho pulses being recieved, due obviously to none being generated.
    Check also the motor plug, pull on the leads as sometimes they break internally here.
