KeymasterNo idea to be honest Lawrence although given some of the machines we see I’d hazard that they were designed by accountants. 😉

This is where UKW could really get itself (even more) on the map.
We,and similar organisations in Europe and America, (if they exist) could band together and demand some representation (at the least) in R&D departments. We get closer to customer opinions than any of their expensive market research efforts could ever do.

I wondered the same the other day when I saw a Blomberg machine with a comprehensively blown module. The door interlock was located directly under the soap drawer and the machine had simply leaked suds from the drawer due to too much detergent. This was a two year old machine and was probably quite an expensive model but has now gone to the tip.

Sorry guys, dont even try
In a previous life, I met several designers and they all have a very clear view of the world – their product is great, its the customers that cause problems. Engineers do not come into the equation
Great examples on being asked for feedback on diswahers:
– asking for the sharp edges to be removed and the response was no, as only 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} ever fail – its not cost effective. next time you loose a couple of fingers, at least you can be safe in the knowledge that 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the products will not hurt you!!!
– asking for the spray arms to be made bigger so the food can be cleaned out, to be told that the customer must wash dishes first as even a grain of rice must not go in…. and the next step was SMALLER arms to reduce water consumption.and so on, i am still in theropy

–It can’t be true that only 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} EVER fail can it?
If it is, then are 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} junked because they’re old?
