ParticipantI have a model AWZ663 condenser dryer which sometimes stops with all lights flashing and the bleeper sounding, which stops when you hit the front panel. It seems as if there is a loose connection to the circuit board behind the switches, but have removed it several times and re-soldered the wiring loom direct to the pins. This seemed to solve the problem for a while, but it has returned. I have been unable to get the cost of a new pcb from your spares site.
I have also noticed condensation around the switch panel. Does this suggest the door seal is damaged? The condenser is clean and free from fluff.

There are two PCB’s on this model:
Display board (the one you refer to behind the front panel) – 481221478484 at £75.98 😯
Control board – 481221478483 at £121.06 :eeek:
Door seal – 481246668607 at £19.26
The condensation may not be coming from the door though although it’s the most likely place, this could also have damaged the board.
There could also be another component failure causing the board to go in to “error” mode.
Power off when checking of course :zap: or if you need an engineer, check Repairs@ 🙂
Hope this helps.
Dave.

Hi Carolanne
The condensation problem on these condenser dryers is that the seal ring which goes around the base of the fan comes loose causing condensation to rise and take the front drum felt off which enhances the condensation. It will look as though it is coming from the door and control panel. It is definately an enginneer job though.
Hope this helpsSparkyp

Thanks Dave
Looks like it might be a job for an engineer. Have to save up for this one!! 🙁

Hi Sparky
Thanks for the info. You were spot-on. The ring sealing the fan had snapped and the cabinet was full of fluff. Got it cleared, glued the ring back in place and resoldered all the connections between the two pcb’s in the control panel and – it works OK now.
Thanks again for the tip.

AWZ663
8575 663 15000
070113506634I have what I think is a similar problem – when the dryer ‘fails’ it issues a continuous beep and lights the Rapid Cotton, Gentle and Buzzer LEDs on the front panel. Condensation can be seen inside the panel – apparently it has been like that for months!!
I have opened her up (the dryer that is) and found plenty of fluff inside.
I can see what I think is the seal that has failed. It is at the front around the join between the main front panel plastic molding and the front fan unit.
However, for the life of me I cannot work out how to dismantle it far enough to get access to the seal to repair it. I have the front panel with the selector switch off and the lower front panel that covers the condensor and front fan. Also have removed the back panel and back fan unit.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Fleabo
