ParticipantHello there.
I’m looking for a Homark cooker element for a model 02-600101. Damned if I know how to get the old one off though.
I’m located in Derby, but happy to shop online, so I don’t necessarily need to know local stockists.
If anybody can help, that would be great. Thanks.

Should be this one:

With the power off, remove the rear inner panel and it’s all pretty obvious from there.

Thanks for the help, is that a 2100w element? I’ve got a feeling it’s the wrong one – the dimensions aren’t right
I’ve already removed the rear inner panel; that’s where the confusion began… I’ll have to figure it out

Don’t worry, I think I’ve worked out the right one.

Hmmm… having got the correct element, I still can’t remove the old one in order to fit the new one. I’ve been doing all my cooking using the grill element!
I remove the rear panel and then unscrew the clips that hold the oven element. However, I can’t work out how to actually get the conection plate off of the rear wall – it is held fast, but does not pull off and I can’t see any screws.
Does anyone have any idea how to do this, or if there are any instructions on the web somewhere (I can’t find any)?
Edit: I’ve worked it out – the plate is screwed in place from the back, would you believe? I’ve had to take the entire built-in oven out and remove the rear panel to unscrew the element. I now find that the element I’ve bought doesn’t fit – the holes aren’t threaded and are fractionally too far apart. It gets worse and worse…

Which element did you order Cogito ?
The one Penguin indicated should be correct for this model…

So, can I take it from your comment that you ordered the element Penguin suggested ?
Heh, help me out here please, I’m trying to help you 😀

Sorry. No I didn’t order that element (that penguin suggested) because the dimensions on the diagram were different to the (old) element in my oven.
I ended up ordering another one from another source. However, having finally got the old element out, I find that the one I purchased, whilst closer in size than the one Penguin suggested, was nevertheless slightly out on the width of the holes on the fixing plate (literally 2-3mm). Also, I now realise that I need threaded holes on the plate.
In addition to this, having finally got to see the back of the plate, I found that there is a central earth terminal which wasn’t there on the one I purchased (though there is a threaded hole in the centre to presumably fix a terminal to – but the old element had the terminal actually soldered/welded to it, not screwed).
Anyway, the upshot is that I still don’t have the right element, though the vendor of the incorrect one has agreed to give a full refund. I have lined up a couple of likely-looking replacements, now that I know what the whole thing looks like. I am awaiting replies to some questions I have sent.
The thing is everyone says “oh, yeah, that’ll fit your oven, no problem”. I have a much better idea what I need now (and how to fit it). If you have any ideas as to what I need, then I’m happy to hear them.
The old element is 19cm wide, 25cm from base plate to end of element, about 3cm between the terminals and roughly 6cm between the holes (but having looked closely, it is more like 56/57mm – not easy to measure reaching into the back of the oven!). The holes, as I said are threaded. Also, there is only one fixing bracket, directly opposite the plate. There are two clamps, opposite each other, half-way round the element, but they do not screw onto the back of the oven (unlike some elements I’ve seen).

Ah, you’ve got an Ariston element which is very close to the ELE2300 apart from the points you mention.
ELE2300 has an earth terminal, it also has holes small enough to thread (they don’t come pre-threaded).
I have one in my hand now and it measures 19cm diameter and 25cm from the plate the opposite side of the element (26cm on the diagram goes to the bracket, the arrows are slightly misleading). Terminals 3cm apart and fixing holes are 5.6cm apart. I’ve sold this one quite a few times to fit your model so I’m pretty certain it will do the job.
Dave.
