ParticipantI have been waiting ages for my firge freezer!
Tesco keep putting the delivery date back. I have ordered alternatives
from them (as they suggest) but this also puts the date back!
Last week they said 19th September, Yesterday they said 13th October and Today they say 20th October!!”!!!!!No wonder they have hugh profits – they take your money but do have stock.
Anydoby know good deals on American Fridge Freezers as I have cancelled my order with Tesco.

Hi
Sorry to hear about your`e delivery problems. A trip to your`e local independant retailer is a much better option. You will recieve better advice on a product which is right for you, a delivery time which is more convenient and a far superior after sales back up service than any of the supermarkets can offer. You will pay a little more for this level of service and attention, but what price can you put on peace of mind. I say leave the supermarkets to what they do best : food. 😉

Don,
I cannot agree with you more on this subject and will be looking around this weekend. I have always bought from specialist retailers but thought I would give Tesco a try as I could save a few pennies. All I have received is an ear bashing from the wife. Never again……
Sorry Tesco, another customer lost!September 23, 2005 at 4:22 pm #147993don

Don,
Canceled my order with Tesco, no problem, took seconds.
A local dealer had the exact same fridge freezer but it was £100 more expensive. They gave a good warranty, delivered and installed within 3 days and best of all – they took the old fridge freezer away (which Tesco would not do).Taking into consideration the delivery, installation and old fridge freezer removal I would have saved approx £30 by going to Tesco, but I got it months earlier. Makes sense to go local…….
My only problem is setting the correct temperature on these digital displays. What temp do you suggest for Fridge and Freezer?
Many thanks and a happy ending………………..

Hi Friggy
Glad everything turned out okay for you 😀 .
It just goes to show that the local dealers can compete with the big boys by giving a better overall service
Ideal fridge temperature + 4 to +6 degrees C and freezer -18 to -22 degrees C.
Hope this helps.
