ParticipantI am a little anoyed at this present time.
Did any of you know that when you do a order with seme even through sali that the delivery time is up to 7 days.
Here I have sat all day, to find out that when I ring them to get a parcel number to track the dhl parcel that my order has been sent out via parcel force on a up to 7 day delivery.
The lady at customer services said it has always been this way and I have been very lucky so far if I had always had next day delivery.
In there book they say only same day dispatch but if you have to wait up to 7 days for the parts I would loose all of my work, people wont wait.
This is a crazy way to treat trade, she said if I want next day delivery it would cost me £10 for p/p. Even if you pay the £2.99 or the £6.99. you could have to wait 7 days.
Be warned the rest of you. I have now probably lost 4 good jobs because of this delay and the only way round it is to go local pay more then get stuck with parts I no longer want.
I loved this company they were always way out in front of all the other ones in all aspects. But I fear that I shall no longer use them as I can’t take the risc of this long delay.
Sorry to harp on about this, my main reason for this entry is to enquire if anyone esle had this problem or if this is the way they are going to treat us from now on.BEWARE 😥 😥 😥

Yes, you are right. Things have got worse but I havn’t had to wait as long as you and if you have a multiple order on one part, if it says in stock it may only mean one of those parts.I ordered 8 Zanussi basket wheels and got three and waited 10 days for the other 5. I think I will go local now with the postage charge and declining delivery. Also their prices are creeping up so many parts are not such a bargain.

The rot seems to have set in when it became Seme Nedis whoever ‘Nedis’ might be. shame really though because it was a really good firm.
I have sung their praises loudly on this site in times past – Their £12 carriage threshold was a bit unrealistic though and I could’nt see that lasting.
Having said that £25 is still pretty good and much better than most. I have found their delivery to be excellent in the past – almost always next day even when ordering up to 5PM. Up to now I have not had any probs in this area yet but will wait and see.

I am not sure how you would lose jobs because the parts were delayed. This happens to me all the time because I’m often not at home to take delivery of parcels and the next day delivery firms take between 2 and 6 days to get stuff to me. I can’t say I’ve ever had a customer give up on me and call in someone else. They may have a good moan but that’s as far as it goes.

So far no problems with Seme delivery times here. 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} next day if order sent by 5pm.
Only problem was with my last order which contained two scart adapters,3 into 1, in place of 2 prs hotpoint brushes. 😕
Rang them. They said keep the adapters (too cheap to be worth returning)
we’ll put the brushes in the post. Sure enough, postman brought them next morning.
£12 min order is good till Oct 1st. I’m told.
To avoid waiting in for courier, I order all heavy parts at one time in so far as possible. (Not so easy now with new min order).
You can normally track a parcel from the parcel no. given on the accounts page.(Ring local DHL depot and they’ll tell you if it’s on its way and what time to expect it.)In contrast Connect are useless. Got my account 14 days ago. Still no welcome pack. One of two “in stock” parts on first order still not arrived despite several phone calls to ultra polite & helpful young man at call centre. 🙁
Anybody want two scart adapters extremely cheap?

I think with Connect they sometimes find the parts bin is bare despite the computer saying they have stock. This happened to me when I ordered a pack of coax plugs for a new house wiring job. I would not have ordered them if it had said out of stock but in the event they turned up in an order about 6 weeks later. At least they were easy enough to source locally so the job was not delayed.
