well I cured my not spinning problem by changing the brushes

But all is not well. Two days later strange noise comming from drum and stiff to turn.
It would apear that the little plastic non return valve thing in the outlet pipe at the bottom of the drum, has somehow got itself in between the inner and outer drum. ( I’m assuming this cos it aint in the outlet pipe). Not sure why or how it got in the drum.

How can I get this out. taking the drum out seems a pretty daunting prospect but is this my only option?

Also aprox how much would it be to get an w/m engineer to do this job? So I know if it is worth it or easier just to replace the machine.

    Any help , much apreciated

managed to get it out by taking the heater element out.

next question is this ‘non return’ valve needed guess its there for a reason? and where would I get one as no one local seems to keep Blomberg spares.

    thanks

It’s there to stop the half pint of cold dirty water that is always left in the bottom of the machine mixing with the clean warm wash water. In theory at least. Blomberg spares are available from Comet (it’s their brand name) but, being kind it’s a torturous process.
