hello im new here,glad to have found you !!
i have a zanussi and have moved to cumbria which i think is soft water
so i have turned down the salt dial to 1
i did this as all cutlery is rusty, glasses cloudy and seem covered in something, and all cups taste pf salt, badly
i use finish 3 in 1 and their rinse aid and salt
so after turning it down i put it on intense wash last night and it is just the same
hav also taken all the filters out and scrubbed
it is about 2/3 yrs old
the cutlery wasnt cheap and it needs replacing nowsorry for long post but wanted u to have full pic
help anyone,has it had it

Hi
Stop using 3 in 1 tablets, just use the plain tablets or powder with seperate rinse aid and if water is already soft try without salt also make sure salt cap is sealing correctly .

The salt is required even if it is in a soft water area.

No. The reason that salt is added through a seperate, sealed cap is that the saline solution never enters the wash water; it is used solely to reionise the water softener system.
Advertising salt as part of the 3 in 1 tab is pointless, misleading and does not do what is intended as is will never enter the watersoftener system.
My personal opinion, based on a good few years experience is to get rid of the tabs and go back to using powder, rinse aid and salt as seperates. By doing so you can “tune” the performance of your appliance by adjusting dosage of powder and rinse aid, as well as the degree of salt usage. Cehck your user manual for exact details.
