Just a quick sanity check please – we have a Blomberg CFFN 201. Its probably 5 years old (ish)
The freezer keeps defrosting, because the door seal is no longer magnetic, the fridge on the other hand keeps freezing my vegetables!
    Ive turned the fridge down…
The motor when it comes on sounds more like a diesel engine, so much so that it tends to keep us awake at night.
    Are these problems related?

We’re beginning to suspect its curtains for the old gal, but before we spend the money on a new fridge freezer, is it worth unlugging it/ plugging it back in, or calling an engineer? Neither of us particularly enjoy DIY…

    Sincere thanks

Door seal is integral with the door, so would have to be replaced as an assembly. Diesel engine noises will be the compressor on it’s way out. All adding up to too expensive I’m afraid.
