I’ve been out with a lady repairing her washing machine she gave me a Magimix 5100 food processor to see if i could repair it, i don’t do a lot of these but it needs a shaft replaced, i’ve removed the base
& the screws at the top but it won’t come off, is the shaft a left hand screw , i don’t want to force it. Any help would be appreciated.

as i said be carefull. if you cut the first 10mm off the top of plastic shaft you will seethe metal shaft inside once off the new plastic shaft is very tight to push on

Ok thanks, i’ll try that, so basically the old shaft is cut through about 10mm from top & it then comes up, slips off?? & new one just pushes on from the top? I’lll try that on Monday thanks
