Morning all,
Any ideas on fault on Dishwasher Indeset IDL705S UK. Customer advised stopped mid cycle. But could not say how far it had got into cycle. Shows single (non flashing) light on fault diagnostics. left hand (3HR light)Thanks for any help

Not sure about the Indesit models, but the 3 hour light on the Indesit produced Hotpoint machines indicates flooded base. It flashes on the Hotpoint ones though.

Further to last request, Questioned customer a bit more and she said she orginally had flashing lights telling her filter was blocked and had actually bailed machine out manually and started it again. She said It went for a short while and stopped again. The indicator light was not a fault light but just the cycle progress indicator. The reason it stopped there was the pump had seized. Bone stuck in it! cleared this and all worked well.

It could be the design of the filter, but I have cleared 5 or 6 pump blockages on the Hotpoint variant in the past week.

This thread just goes to prove that the ‘fear of god’ strikes the heart of many an unwary service engineer at the mere mention of flashing or non flashing panel lights, error codes, bleeping noises or whatever. 🙁
AND all this happens long before even checking out the job. 🙄
Invariably the best way to deal with any such daunting challenges is simply to go there with an open, logical mind, take the panel off and ‘have a look’ for yourself. :tup:
And leave the theorising to Mystic Meg :rotfl:
