We gave up being Vax agents earlier this year, for exactly the same Gripe. There where never any spares available, which always resulted in grief from the customer.

After many years with Vax, it was hard to give it up but we were just getting complaints all the time. I felt that this reflected baddly on us – so last year I wrote to them asking them to contact me to discuss this. No call ever came.
We have since sent any Vax customer back to the retailler. What other options do you have ?
agree with you on the spares delay but when talking to vax the other day i was told if the dealer is within 20 miles they expect the customer to get the machine to their service agent. i remarked that shops were closing down due to the demise of the trade and the reply was they use a courier to bring machines back to them for repair. if this trend continues they will do all repairs in house with no need for spare parts to be available for the trade it is no wonder that our birmingham freinds do not stock much if anything
