Hi,
After a flicker and a bang, the green LED on the main On/Off switch has blown on my Servis Quartz 1250 washer, and now there’s no power at all. The wiring behind the LED is black, so it’s definitely gone.
(By the way I’ve looked everywhere for a Servis Mxxx model number, but there’s nothing – not behind the filter door (where the only writing is stamped on the plastic door itself, MOD7 110213100), not on the back, not on the inside of the main door. It was bought from a discount shop about 3 years back, could it have been ‘de-labeled’?? Can’t even find any reference to a Quartz with a 1250 spin speed online either, but that’s what it says on the front!)
Is it likely that the washer might be fixed by simply replacing this LED, or is this likely to be a symptom of something else? And if so, where could I get hold of one of these (I’m Central or West London, no-one near on the Repairs listings).
I can see from postings Servis aren’t the best make, so I’m trying to work out if it’s going to be a false economy to get someone out…
Thanks for any help!
