    I have a hotpoint aquarius wma30 and during the cycle it stops continually and the prewash led flashes. pressing the start button again makes the machine continue from where it stopped. this can happen anywhere from twice to thirty times during a cycle. i presume the flashing led is an error code but do not know where to find what it is indicating.

    Anybody have any idea what ids causing this?

    The prewash light flashing indicates a fill problem, check for taps turned off, poor water pressure, clogged inlet valve filters, kinked fill hoses etc.
    It can also be caused by the drain/outlet hose being to low or being pushed to far down a standpipe causing the machine to drain or syphon on rinses.
