We recently moved into this house which has an old, but in excelent condition belling format 600 xr2 cooker. The cooker works fine, I understand that it is @20 years old. The problem I have is that I cannot for the life of me work out the clock and timer settings. I can get the clock to read the time correctly, but the timer defeats me. I have contacted the makers, but they are no help at all, saying that the cooker is to old for them to keep instruction books. I don`t need an instruction book… all I need is a little guidance on how to use the timer switches. I am not stupid, and consider myself technically savvy, but I am at a loss with this….Help please.

Belling used a variety of timers on the Format range, can you take a piccy of the timer and email it to me please. I should be able to identify and advise from there 🙂

OK, now I’ve refocused from the enormous image 😆

The furthest left is a minute minder, hold and turn the adjusting knob (furthest right), it counts down and bleeps when at zero but has no function other than that.

The next one in is the cooking time, again, hold in and turn the adjusting knob to however many hours/minutes you need the food cooked for.

The next one is the stop time, ie, the time you need the food ready for.

Once set, turn the fourth one in from the left to the “auto” (clock symbol) position and away you go 😀
