    Hi, I’ve had a good look through the archives but couldn’t find anything. As mentioned the detergent flap fails to open although all else seems to be ok. Have checked terminal and lever mechanisn, all seems good. Have removed the detergent unit and there is moisture visable on the inside of the see-through part of the back. Is this normal? How is the solenoid (?) activated that opens the flap? The spring on the flap has plenty of tension. Andbody goy any ideas?

    Almost certainly a solenoid failure – you need a test meter to certain. If you can’t do it, engineer time – check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in you area.

    Power off if going further yourself.

    The spare is a replacement assembly BTW, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get things moveing for you.
