ParticipantHi, my DWF30 has stopped cooperating. The panel lights are all on, and the switches allow you to select the various programs ok, but it refuses to start up. All I get is a hum from the back somewhere (access is very bad so as yet I haven`t been able to get the thing out and dismantled).
Any ideas before I start dismantling the kitchen to have a look?
Cheers

Has the water inlet tap been turned off?
If the tap is turned on then with the machine switched OFF. press and hold buttons 1(Normal Wash ) & 3 (Quick Wash), switch ON then release buttons 1 & 3. The 2nd and 4th lights should be flashing to indicate test routine is active, press 1 & 3 again to start test. Total time for test will be about 25 minutes but I would guess that your machine will show an error code before that. Report back on any error letters/numbers that appear in the display. To stop the test switch OFF.

Is the machine filling with water. It’s a pretty obvious watery noise right at the start of the program. Is the water supply to the machine turned on?
I know you won’t get electrucuted checking that, but unplug the machine before working on it. 😉
Besides that, there could be, ohhhh, so many different things to check. 😕

Edit – Wow iadom, did it take me 4 minutes to type that? 😆

4 minutes is not bad with cloven hooves. 😆

Cheers for the suggestions gents. Took the thing to pieces and diagnosed a tight circulatoin pump motor. Recently the thing hadn`t been used more than a couple of times a month due to holidays. Wound the motor round manually and bunged some wd40 on the rear bearing. Seems to work fine now. 😀
Cheers
