    Hello everyone,

    The program selector on my 13 month old washer dryer continuously revolves with a clicking noise and the red light flashes 8 times , tried turning off and resetting but problem came back .

    I have tried it on various programs and had some success with program 1 which has a pre wash , the clicking did not start for a good 10 minutes , I also tried just the spin setting but that also failed

    Any ideas would be most appreciated , I called the “rapid response” line and the earliest appoinment offered was 10 days away and I am already running out of clothes !

    You may or may not have noticed that the forum is littered with Indesit 8 flash problems. According to Indesit, it means that a component on the control circuit board related to the heater is not operating. The reality is that 8 flashes can be caused by several other faults. Best advice is to see if we have an engineer in your area, bound to be quicker to call and also possibly less expensive than Indesit.

    Thanks for the info , I will try and locate a local engineer through the site. I will let you all know what it turns out to be
