Hello everyone again , engineer came today to look at my wd12 ( 13 months old ) that has a revolving program selector and a light that flashes 8 times , he tried the heating side of things but has declared that it must be a PCB fault
which all in will cost around £180.00.

So it looks like another badly made white good heading for the landfill, looking through the forum it seems Indesit are pretty much consistent in the faults department, needless to say I will not be partaking in any brand loyalty schemes.

    Thanks for your help yesterday

Hi Rose – Sorry to hear about your problem washer dryer. This error E8 is an absolute horror for us service engineers because its listed as a heater relay fault which does mean a new PCB> However, it is also a fault code caused by many of the components connected to this board. ie it could be a motor, heater, thermistor etc fault. Its a nightmare to cure unless you get lucky. Sadly for you its a poor quality machine and perhaps you are right in considering taking it to the knackers yard. Try your local independents member of UKW who I am sure will give you sound advice and not fleece you if you need new – Good luck
