The above appliance caused the RCD to trip on my consumer unit. On inspection of the socket into which the dishwasher plug fits there is a brown scorch mark on the live ‘pin hole’. Other appliances worked ok in that socket when tested.

However, when I tried plugging the D63 into another socket the result was the same: the RCD tripped. Could the fault lie in the fitted, sealed plug? Or is the fault more serious?

I’m grateful for any advice that you might have!

    Thanks!

It’s more likely to lie within the appliance to be honest.

Please don’t keep trying it, it may do more damage to other components. Best bet is ask an engineer to attend and rectify the fault for you 🙂

Try Repairs@ for one. If you do decide to have a look, keep it unplugged at all times please :zap:

Thanks, Dave. I feared as much!

I’ve tried “Repairs” but there is no engineer in this area. I’ll have to try “Yellow Pages”

    Thanks again,

    John (Berry)
