Hi, trawled these forums but can’t put the finger on my problem !!
Been having problems with the fill solenoid not filling and humming and getting hot?
Have replaced the part and the new one still does the same thing. Thing is though, if I take it out and release the water from it and also drain the flood reservoir, and put it back in, it works fine again for another cycle.
There is one black water pipe connected to the middle of the flood reservoir, but nothing connected to the top of it (there is another pipe connection there? Should there be another pipe connected? There is no other pipe in the machine to connect to.
The solenoid generally stops before the final rinse fill before the drying cycle, but after fixing, will continue fine to the end of the program. The timer seems to be working fine. also, could it be the float valve (if it has one?) and if it has one, where is it, as I cannot seem to find it.
Any ideas anyone ?

If anyone can help, thanks, but in the mean time, I have managed to get it working by reucing the water pressure to the dishwasher, and so far so good!!

It may be the solution to be honest. Iff your water pressure (or flow rate) is very high it can make the metering tank overflow and set the flood protector off.
There may well also be a blockage in the said area, keep an eye on it and see how it goes 😉

Yes, after 5-6 full washes the dishwasher seems to have overcome the problems I was having!
To end it, all I can say is that by reducing the water pressure to the machine, it now works (touch wood) perfectly. Hope this may help anyone else who suffers the same problemsPete
