Old ladys chest freezer packed up Tuesday after she had loaded latest delivery from Iceland.
Phoned me last night to tell me it still wasnt getting cold and alarm light was now on.
I went round to see what I could do and was able to bodge a repair and get comp going to save the shopping with the intention of getting a new one today. Thing about freezers is that you need to replace them quickly when they break. Repairs on domestics are usually pointless.

So I must have rang a dozen companys after searching on the web for suitable model, size but could I collect one today? Not a bloody chance.
Search google and get millions of hits from tossers selling each others virtual stuff. EVEN ICELAND. Bloody great showrooms and no stock to collect. Whats the world coming to?

Now I have to wait till next Tuesday or pay twice as much for something thats too big from Currys.
    No stock no sale, simple.

The only ones that I know of would be BDC new website address
http://www.bdc-independants.co.uk you can collect from these bit they only stock a small 4 cu ft one or for a rapid delivery try DAD at Gloucester. They keep a full range of the King freezers in stock you can see them here at http://www.ice-king.co.uk/

Got her one now (Currys) and I’ve calmed down abit.
Bloody shame though that even the links you gave, nearest is nearly an hour away (Chichester) by car.

The links were very thoughtful though, thank you.
