You sure about the model deltra ?
This is a Comet own brand and they list all spares on http://www.cometspares.co.uk but only a CFF289 is there.
If it’s that model then it’s a Brandt made one which I can check if you can confirm 🙂

Why are there so many different ‘fridge and ‘fridge freezer stats when I’ve used VC1, VT9 in 96.237{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases?
(Actually my main reason for posting this is to get a full house top six or so on this forum). How sad is that?
Top eight! Triumph!

Hi
VT9 stats dont work on LEC fridge/freezers for some reason. fitted a couple in the past and been called back for fridge then running too cold. Then read some small print somewhere stating that VT9 not suitable for LEC units.
Looking on TDS disc at thermostat speil, stats can be a minefield.

Part number is 45X6363 which shows as a special order from Connect at around £35 ex VAT 🙁
I don’t have a diagram so I can’t see what type of unit it is to ofer an alternative.
VT9’s will fit Lec fridges with an exposed evaporator, for wet wall use a VX0 which is basically the same but has a lower cut out temperature, this applies to Candy/Kelvinator as well, basically poor quality or underpowered compressors where the evaporator doesn’t get as cold as a better quality product 🙂
The other problem with the Lec’s is the “0” position is often 45 deg out.
A top six:
VT9
VC1
VS5
VX0
VT93/VT3
VP4/VL4Dave.

Thanks Dave,
Such valuable info ought to be filed somewhere on the site where it could be more easily found. Whilst we don’t want to clog up the top of the forum too much, could there be a place somewhere where “stickies” could be stuck where info such as this could be filed in a classified sort of way?

Please feel free to copy/edit it and make it a “sticky” in this forum, there’s only two there 🙂

Er, my abilities to operate a computer don’t quite stretch that far. 😳
If anyone else would do it, might I suggest “Common refrigeration hints” as a title. There could be others for “Pump problems”,”Motor problems” etc.
If people had such resources available we’d avoid being asked/having to ask obvious questions and be able to go to bed earlier.

No problem.
Sorry, I tend to forget (or wrongly assume) that everyone knows how to do certain functions on here 😳 Please accept my apologies.
