    i have a hotpoint EG72 duel fuel slot in cooker
    the fan oven is only getting warm,not hot,fan is working .thermostat or element? is it easy to fix?

    If it is getting partly warm, you’re looking at a thermostat failure. Dave’ll be able to advise about replacement part and prices.

    Personally I think the element has failed which is this one:

    If the red light which indicates the oven temperature stays on all the time then it’s without doubt the element, if it goes off and back on again it’s the thermostat which is part number 6222155 at £34.72 inc VAT and delivery.

    i have removed the element and it has bubbles and rough bumps on a section about 3 inches long .i think this confirms the problem…thanks warby
