ParticipantHi there , as a newish member this is my first posting . Last year , I joined the Guild of Master Craftsmen . This cost me £300 for the year , and the only real benefit I got was the ability to display their impressive logo on my van . Not my wisest decision , then . I feel that customers are impressed if a tradesman can show that he belongs to an appropriate professional body . Could we not have some stickers printed to stick on vans ? I suggest a cicular format with a diameter of say 6 to 8 inches , and using at least two bright colours . Some smaller cloth patches for sticking to clothing would also be useful . This would benefit everyone , including UK whitegoods . Anyone agree , or disagree? Regards , Neptune

We are already working that up Neptune, David was awaiting a printer coming back to him on it.
Unfortunately a round sticker is not practical given the logo design really. That’s not to say it can’t be done, it just doesn’t look as impressive when you put it into that format.
Patches (not that Patches before he pitches in) I’d never given any thought to in all honesty as there is workwear available with the logo on it and no-one’s asked before now.
I will say now though that subscribers will get first dibs on the stickers when we get them and I will not issue them to anyone that has not agreed to the Charter. There’s no point unless we put that in place and I doubt I’ll get any argument about it either. 😉

Hi Neptune,
You’re okay, we all learn daily.
You can find the charter here it’s the last one on the list and is in Word format, if you need it in Adobe Acrobat then you’ll find it in the PDF section of “Downloads”, on the navigation menu to the left.
The Repairs@ form is how we get most of the signed charters back though and that gets you on Repairs@ as well so you can recieve calls from the system, you can get that here, it’s the top one there. You can also find that in the Top10 downloads I think.
I know there’s a lot of information asked for there, but it’s all there for a reason as we use this to target teh work you want to you and to put forward to manufacturers etc that are looking for agents. Saves doing it over and over for each one. It does mean that people on Repairs@ have a slight advantage, but then, they see that. 😉
Either or can be sent by fax, email or post but ignore the fax number on that version of the Repairs@ form if you want to fax it and use 0845 226 2508 as you’ll get it done for the price of a local call that way.
