We bought a NewWorld Esteem Si500 gas cooker early 97.

We had the thermostat replaced shortly after we bought it, but had it replaced again in 2002, at which point we founf out that NewWorld had been bought out by somebody else (whose name I can’t remember).

So I need to get a new one. When the last one was replaced, it didn’t require disconnection from the mains.

    Regards,

    Newt

This is probably a Stoves manufactured model around that time.

There should be a long number on the rating plate beginning 059…. if you can find that and any other numbers please.

This is an electric cooker I take it ?

    Dave.

It’s a gas cooker. When I said mains in my previous post, I really meant gas main (but the post did say it was a gas cooker) – sorry for any confusion.

I’ve looked at the plate on the front. I’ll have a look at the back tomorrow evening. The front plate says CKG 21139. It also says Serial No., but the actual number is faded to invisibilty.

    Newt.
