water is coming out of the bottom of the dryer and not much goes into the reservour. is this a common fault with this model? is there a likely place for the leak, it isn’t obvious with the sides off?
ps how does the condenser work, is it like a ‘fridge with a pump and freon type of gas/liquid (but more environmentally friendly)?

It’s usually caused by an ill fitting seal (‘O Ring’) on the water container allowing water to trickle under that container and out through the front. Is that where the water is found (i.e mostly under the water container?)

thanks for the speedy reply!
the water comes out somewhere underneath then flows out on the floor so i can’t see exactly where it’s coming from. if i remove the reservour, it’s not obviously soaking immediately underneath it.
the reservour does have an ‘O’ ring whick seems ok, but i may remove to check.

Sounds like a blockage in the condensor by not cleaning regular take it out and reach to back and make sure the hole down to float chambers is not blocked with fluff, if this gets blocked it will still make condensate but not fill bottle and leak all over floor.

If the float chamber is badly blocked then it is quite a difficult job to access and clean.
The operation is quite simple. The machine has two fans, one sucking in cold air, the other blowing hot moist air around the machine.. The internal ducts route the cold air and the warm moist air over opposite sides of the heat exchanger/condensor, the resultant condensation drains backwards into the water container.Re: Creda Excel Dryer Model T602CW – leaking

Condenser dryers have two distinct and separate air systems:
The air that comes in contact with the clothes is recycled. It starts off cold and is blown over the heater element and over the tumbling wet clothes. The air is thus cooled down slightly by the wet clothes and takes some water out of the clothes and holds this water as water vapour.
The air is then passed through the cold condenser and, as the temperature changes, the water vapour condenses and falls by gravity into a chamber under the condenser. (This may then be pumped up to the condensate bottle or allowed to run by gravity into the condensate bottle depending on the model)
The secondary airflow is there just to keep the condenser cold. The secondary air flow is drawn from the room, through the cabinet, through the condenser and back out into the room. It can often be felt as warm air at floor level.
Condenser dryers will only work efficiently if the condenser can be kept as cold as possible and therefore the machine should always have adequate ventilation and should never be in a closed cupboard when in use.
The condensor must be kept free of fluff and obstuctions and should be removed and cleaned regularly.
