Hi, I’m having problems with my Hoover WDM130 since I moved it in a new kitchen. The plumbing required some rerouting, basically a slightly shorter pipe run (about 12″) to the (same) taps. Since then, the machine leaks from around the soap dispenser drawer when filling. It is not overfilling, I’ve checked the pipe to the pressure switch and it holds pressure OK. Thanks for the earlier posts on that.
I’ve managed to stop it from leaking by turning the tap down, which would suggest the pressure is too high, are these machines prone to this? I’ve replaced the dispenser drawer and the top side of the compartment it resides in. It is hard to tell, but I think water is coming out over the front top side of the dispenser drawer, then running out under the drawer front. I’m really scratching my head here, I can’t imagine my new pumbing has made any difference to the supply pressure.

Turning the stopcock down will help but most likely the dispenser top needs dismantling and descaling. A bit tricky to access to say the least and if you are unsure as to tackle such a job, why not call on a local repairman to sort it for you? Click on this link for one in your area : Repairs@

I had a similar problem with a Hoover machine.
The leak was on the top of the dispenser where the rubber hoses join the dispenser. It could only be seen by running the machine with the top off, when the machine was filling with water.

IF YOU TRY THIS BE AWARE THAT MANY COMPONENTS WILL BE LIVE AND EASILY TOUCHED. THIS SHOULD ONLY BE ATTEMPTED IF YOU FEEL COMPETENT TO DO THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The leak was stopped with silicone sealant once the area was dry.
