SIOS disk for Whirlpool. Connect publish their own DVD, Qualtex have Freefind on CD, MFI do a CD for their product range, SEME do one (I think 🙄 ) for starters… 🙂
Indesit are unique in their extortionate overcharging whilst most of the above quite naturally are FREE!

You’ll have to be firm, and demand software from these companies! 😡
If not, they will say…
‘Well, all the information is available on our website…’
If you can stomach it, IMO connections is the best package.

This was the reason I mentioned it to Washvac_Wayne the other day.
If one company bought the rights to duplicate the manufacturers disks and put it all in one package what would you be happy to pay for it ?

Money? Me? 😯
😆 errr…nothing, but to normal appliance engineers, I reckon it would be fine value at around £40 – £50. It depends if it has an expired date on it.
Unfortunatly, it won’t happen! 🙁 Getting all those companies to work together. It’s like trying to get Hollywood film companies to work on a DVD together. Bladerunner has been waiting 5 years to be released. Reason? There’s a few different film companies involved, and they can’t agree on anything. 🙁

But point taken and it does happen… a lot. 😕

They wouldn’t be working together, x company individually could contact them all and ask for the information and copyright etc.

Anyhoo,
Do I feel another UKW venture taking shape here? Again, with something that someone should of done a long time ago, but hasn’t? Is this Dave’s new bane?
(edit – ps. do you think I should have used a bigger jiffy bag Dave? Wink )

ks guys,in answer to dave,” how much would it be worth?”if all this info was distributed by one source(are you offering dave?) it would have to be worth £100-£200October 19, 2005 at 9:29 pm #150862Dave_Conway

It depends on the interest to be honest. I’m willing to give it a go if there’s enough up for it.
You can but try 😉

I think I suggested a while ago that we used some of our Subscribers money to establish a properly licensed library of all this sort of info. I think we decided it couldn’t be done. All in favour of having a go at it, perhaps we could subscribe for the info? Or make it part of the Subscribers forum for those fo us who choose to participate.
