Talking to a few members it seems as not everyone has grasped the policy regarding enquiries we receive from companies seeking agents.

Repairs@ has grown into a healthy 90 members throughout the country and they have all kindly supplied their details to us, within our database.

We will from now on pass on automatically all Repairs@ members to the enquirer. There is no need for you to apply, fill in another form, you will be pleased to hear. HOWEVER, please update us should you change your details at all.

For all other trade members, to be included in the list we supply enquirers you will have to join Repairs@. This week on Friday we forward to the latest enquirer, our list of guys willing to undertake service work, its not too late to join.

You’ll have to believe that we will not be responding to enquiries who do not reach our expectations on Service, Spares and renumeration.

Re: Repairs@ and Contract work enquiries.

The new modified Repairs@ form is now online and available by clicking here!

It is the first download on the page.

Please note that all the information on there is clearly labelled as “open” or can be marked “private”. In other words, there’s a load of stuff that you can select to remain totally private, if there’s bits you don’t want to fill in that’s okay but it may mean that we have to come back with a question if we get asked it. 😕

The idea with this is to have ONE form only that we can pull data off, hence the length of it as it is based on all that we have been asked before by manufacturers etc. It also means that we have all the information on hand and can deal with it a lot faster.

It is also the only group of repairers that have a standard set and an arbitration service in place within the UK. There is no other system like it, in fact I don’t think there’s another like it in the world let alone the UK. That’s why we use this and have the Charter compliance as part of it as, when potential clients of yours look at this, it’s unique.

    Hi Ken

Looking at the new Repairs@ form, it will contain more information than the previous one so I for one would like to complete and return this obviously useful information. My question…is it possible to make this into an interactive pdf, or indeed put it up in Excel?

Re: Repairs@ and Contract work enquiries.

It was made in Acrobat Designer as an interactive form Tony, the second one down that page is fully interactive and works in Acrobat 6 (patched) and 7, but there’s issues with older versions. But I always tend to work with the most up-to-date stuff that’s proven reliable where I can, but I do realise that not all people do that.

To re-invent it into Excel would take me a bit of time and probably wouldn’t be as neat.

There is a lot of info there, for good reason. It saves having to ask over and over for yet another form. We’re fed up making them so I’m going to guess that you guys are fed up filling them in. So I decided just to say “sod it” and simplify the whole affair with one form that does it all. The whole point of which is to save you guys the repeated effort and the sighs/groans when another form arrives.
