Sorry info is a bit vague, this machine is six months old and in a school science block, used for washing the glass vessels etc. Going to this on Thursday so will try and get a model number. Apparently it has an Orange display, not seen one like that before. Machine sticks on Prewash. The person who phoned me has no information on error messages etc.

Turns out that the ‘orange’ display was the red mains neon. 😥
Model is an FDW20. Base is flooded, had machine up on blocks and found leak coming from side of sump. Partfinder shows the sump and sump fixing ferrule. There is a seal shown but no part number, anyone changed one of these, does the seal come with the sump, also does the ferrule screw or prise off?Re: Newish Hotpoint D/W
Although it is a new machine (6 months) it is still the same basic pile of Indesit pap inside. I suppose if I order both the ferrule and the sump ( quite cheap, now there is a surprise ) it should be obvious how it comes apart. The manuals for the previous model give strip down instructions for everything other than the sump. 😥

you have to twist the ferrule to lock it onto the sump. you will proberly need a piece of wood under the sump so you can apply abit of downward pressure when fitting the ferrule. i’ve only done one and it wasn’t easy getting the sump locked back in
