ParticipantHello (Dave?),
I’m back again. On the last 2 occasions one of our Domestic Appliances has gone bang, you’ve been able to come up with the goods in remarkable timescales, so here we go again.
No.1
The heating element for the drier-side (not washer-side) of our Hoover Softwave 1100 model WS115 washer/drier appears to be close to the end of it’s life. The details stamped onto the element are: 1285W CONSONNI 04820022 16 13902
If you do have a replacement for this, I’d also be interested to know whether you can recommend a suitable heat-resistant sealant/jointing compound to make good the casing in which the element is situated. The original material appears to be like silicone sealant.
No.2
You supplied us with a replacement for this not much over a year ago (to the best of our recollection), so if you offer any guarantee on this part, I’d be interested to know what the anticipated life is. We have a “Cookers Appliances” Model 05-600306/2 Typ B13, marked “SNr 014810266 O846CK161 4.565kW Max”. The heating element for the main oven has failed (again). The identification on your replacement reads “4045 538 R IRCA 2000w RL6”. [Just found the original posting – http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … highlight= Your part number then was 76X3719]
Can you provide prices for the above, please?
Many thanks,
Bryan R. Clarke

Hi Bryan.
If you follow the links below please, both parts are in the shop@. The oven element is now cheaper as I have sourced an alternative supply:
If you can find some high temperatre sealant for the dryer box, that should do the trick.
The element failure could be caused by a few things, fan speed, the fan itself greasy causing poor air circulation, thermostat failure or it could just have failed.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

Ignore that for a minute please, i didn’t read it correctly (site slow/problems).
I’ll add the dryer element in a while and edit the post
