    Hi!

I have a Service fridge/freezer M7055-6S which is approx 2 years old. The fridge compartment is not staying cold anymore. I rang Servis helpline who said it was probably the thermostat. Is this correct? Could it be anything else?

Does anyone know if a thermostat is relatively easy to fit? I assume that because the freezer compartment is working fine that it must have 2 separate thermostats??

    Can anyway help?!

    Kind Regards
    Kim

This model is a frost free electronically controlled unit. The fridge thermostat is more of a damper than the traditional type but it could be faulty and remaining closed not allwing cold air in to the fridge.

It’s more likely though that the air flow is restricted in the freezer compartment caused by a defrost problem.

Try a total defrost for 48 hours and see if the fridge is OK after that, if it isn’t or it starts to play up again shortly afterwards then I’d ask an engineer to be honest and check as there could be a few things causing this. Try Repairs@ for an engineer should you need one 🙂

    Dave.
