ParticipantFirst of all “HELLO!” Great forum…
What brings me here? Well, I deliver and collect washers, dryers etc. to theatres in the West End and most of the home counties. This often involve helping the luvvies install & operate the “wardrobe” machines.. if you call them “washing machines” they look blank and pretend not to know what your talking about! Plus some basic on site repairs.
Now, this avatar thing… how do you get your own avatar that is not on the list of supplied ones? Normally these forums have a browse or upload facility. can’t find one though…
Cheers all!

Welcome Les 🙂
If you hit the “profile” link when you’re in the forums, you can do it from there, scroll to the bottom, there’s an upload link.

Just read your link, really interesting chap.
I once did a free fall in Barbados. It was about 12 feet, because the tide was out, the liberty boat was lower than when it had dropped us off.
Fortunately I was so pissed on the “black gold” I didn’t feel a thing, and the guy I landed on didn’t say a word 😉
Kevin
Black Gold? full strengh rum, you can’t buy it here.

Can we have a new off-topic thread called Kev’s funny Navy stories? They’re always very funny. 😀

KeymasterNo really, because the other one will start as well and we’d be here for hours if either were capable of typing it out. Then there’s the fact that it would detract from certain social gatherings. 😉

past tense Martin?
I was a young sea dog, who has now grown old.
That makes me still an old sea dog, but a breathing one.
