    Hi all,

I’ve got to go to one of these fridge/freezers tomorrow and was wondering if any of you boffins could point me in the right direction. The fault is a too cold fridge compartment – things are freezing up and there is always ice on the inside back wall of the fridge, even with stat turned down to 1. Freezer appears ok. I’ve trawled the forums and have discovered that this is an electronically controlled machine and possible faults could be fridge temp sensor or pcb. How can I isolate the fault? Where are the bits located? Easy to change? Part nos? Prices? etc..

    Thanking you all in anticipation,

    Dave

P.S. I wouldn’t normally do refrigeration, but this is for a neighbour and my reputation may depend on it!

BobHope is an expert on these. If the module fails it will run continuously So the freezer food is not lost. Have a look at it. I have had modules of QER for this problem.

    Regards
    Simon.

I’ve had this problem on a few HCA models. Nearly always the P.C.B. Quite often the screws are hidden behind the stick on facia. hope this helps and is not too late for you Mark
