    Hi,

I have a whirlpool AWZ541 condensing dryer that is simply not heating up during the drying cycle. I wondred after reading a post about a bosch condensing dryer with a similar problem if there was any internal “trip” that may have engaged? Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

    Hopefuly,

    Spatown ❓

Generally it’s one of the thermostats on the heater (supplied as a pair) or sometimes the heater itself, less common is the outlet thermostat.

All of these need checking for continuity, with the power off :zap:

    The thermostats are here: Thermostats
    and the heater here: Heater

If you’e unsure, please check Repairs@ for an engineer 🙂

    Hi Dave,

Thermostats checked ok but no continuity through heater. Put probes on spade connectors on heater arms but nothing. Going to order a new one and fit as it does seem this is the problem. Found removal of the heater really tricky though. Is there a knack to doing it as was a really tight fit into the housing?

    Thanks for advice so far,

    Charles

No, with bolts removed; pull, shake, wiggle, rattle ’til she pops………
