    Hello.

    We have a Diplomat Dishwasher ADP 8500, on running tonight the on button just continuosly flashes. Have cleaned the filters, it looks like no water is getting to the dishwasher. Water supply is fine.

    Any ideas would be most welcome ?

    The light should flash in a sequence normally, x flashes – pause etc.. check that and post back please 🙂

    Normally when we run the dishwasher, the on light is solid. Only since we have been experiencing problems has it been flashing. Dishwasher tuns for about 30 secs then stops.

    That’s what I meant 😉

    When it stops (ie the fault occurs) count how many times it flashes between pausing 🙂

    Apologies, wasn’t sure what you meant.
    Have checked now and it flashes 2 times between each pause.

    Any ideas ?

    Yep, it means the flood protection has been activated which normally means a leak has flooded the base tray.

    Engineer time in all honesty to sort this one as it could one of a number of possible causes, check Repairs@ for one 🙂

    If you do decide to have a look, please ensure the plug is pulled :plug:

    Hello,
    I have the same dishwasher with one in between every pause I wonder what would that mean??
    I too have clean with lime scale cleaner and pipe drain cleaner so far did not make any difference. In the end it completes the wash and result is very good but the wash time is unusually long.

    It’s E1, NTC nearly evey time.

    Use the search facility and search for “NTC” (without the quotes) and pick out all the Whirlpool ones (they make this dishwasher for MFI ;))
