ParticipantHi,
The problem appears to be that the machine will not enter the spin cycle. When it tries to start the drum keeps turning (that slow churning) and the dial starts to clunk around continuiously.
I’ve checked the pump filter (front panel and unscrew, then mop up 😕 ) I removed some gunk and thought I’d fixed it.
I tried a test run but the *** thing went the same way, drum spins and the dial clunks around.
Any thoughts?

Count the flashes from the power light – ie 1,2,3,4 pause, repeat and report back. It’s a code.

🙁 I have an ariston behaving in a similar way.
The right hand red light is flashing very fast — very difficult to count (flashes 3 times & then pause) the program knob rotates continuously. It has an ntc with spade connectors. I have measured the resistance as 28k ohms. tried other ntc inc a 14k ohm but no change in behaviour. Looks like the board will have to be changed!
Any suggestions welcomed.
😀 Many thanks to all those who post as I have found lots of useful information just by reading about other problems especially in the trade sections!

Tom,
It would be more effective being as you are ‘in the trade’ to confine your question to the trade technical forum 💡

ParticipantHi,
Not too sure what’s going on, I tried it tonight and it is working! I think that either it knew I was posting here (and it’s seen me ‘service’ the dish washer) or I fixed it by clearing the pump filter.
When I turned it on tonight I advanced the knob to spin and it then started clunking, but no flashing lights, it then settled down at rinse and completed the cycle from there. May be I fixed it before but was too impatient when it started clunking.
Thanks for the help, this is a super forum and I’ll recommend it to everyone!
