I for one will be interested in what happens over JF now. The constitution as is, states that its the business that is the member and not the individual. Therefore JF is by default now not eligable to be part of Dasa with his Circuit Tech connection.

As JTM are associate members of Dasa, JF can not be on the council of Dasa. Please correct me if I’m wrong on this one as it’s a while since my copies were updated.

    So, whats the position guys?

    Re: JF and Dasa

I think you will find that under the present constitution as it stands at present he is allowed to be a councillor but without any voting rights.

Do I take it that he has parted company with his present employer in Bolton or is this a takeover of some kind by his existing employers.

I did actually personally challenge the legality of his retaining his seat on council after moving into his last job at the council meeting in Scotland but I was told that his new employers were a well established company and that thier joining was largely due to his employment, the majority view was that some latitude had to be granted.

It would seem that he changes jobs with some regularity, perhaps dasa may need to consider supplying him with some special kind of passport
just to keep pace with him and his neumerours appointments.

I cannot say anymore as I have apparently been removed from dasa council along with my access to the council forum for reasons that have not been made very clear to me.

I had a phone call a week ago advising me that this might happen but it has never been confirmed. I am still awaiting a further call from JF. Del is correct in what he says.

However, as far as I am aware JF would have to resign as he is no longer with Circuit tech. He would then have to be re elected or copted once his new details are confirmed.

Del sorry as far as I am aware you have been not been removed from Council but when the new council was elected at the AGM those not present where not relected unles they had sent a request in to be done so. If you still want to be on Council personally I feel your input is very valuable and it would be possible to co opt you on along with any other willing members.

Apart from the little snag of a year’s probation as per the rules, which is the point both I and Kev (amongst others) have been stung with in the past.
