    Hi there

Our SMEG SE335SS cooker has the fan going, grill working but no Oven. Based on research this sounds like the fan element is kaput. I was going to take it out and test with a multimeter.

Thing is, I have taken the back plate off to expose the fan and element but I cannot work out how the element comes free. There is a small screw at the bottom that loosens a support but at the top, where the element cables go through the back of the cooker, there appears no way to release the element.

Do I need to yank the whole cooker out to get to the connections or does it just push in (and is sealed in with grime and stuff) ❓

    Cheers.

Access may be from the rear. Remove the power supply to the oven first before attempting anything :zap:

Simon46 – Thanks a lot for the advice. I now have a substantively melted element in hand ready to be replaced. I will try and find the part no now.

I have a further query about the thermostat but will put that up as a seperate subject

    Much appreciated.
